DICTIONARY
Natural Latex
Natural latex that is 100% natural and biodegradable. The raw material used in the production of genuine natural latex comes from rubber trees that grow in Southeast Asia. Natural latex in Norrgavel's upholstered furniture is used both in liquid form, as a binding agent in the production of rubberised horsehair, and in cut latex foam mixed with feathers in the surface padding. QUL-certified and guaranteed free from harmful chemicals and masking agents.
Hairlok
Rubberised horsehair is made from two natural materials – horsehair and natural latex. A 100% natural and fully renewable material. The high elasticity and three-dimensional strength of the material are its main functional properties. Horsehair creates an excellent microclimate that keeps us comfortably tempered in both warm and cold conditions. Oeko-tex certified horsehair sourced from South America.
Wool Felt
The wool felt is made from 100% traceable New Zealand wool. Wool is a natural fibre that is a fully renewable material. Wool effectively traps dust and allergens, and it is also a naturally dirt-repellent material.
Down Proof Fabric
A very dense weave of 100% cotton, impregnated with natural aloe vera (medicinal plant). The dense weave, combined with the impregnation, prevents feathers from escaping.
Pocket Spring
The spiral core consists of spiral springs made from 100% steel, placed in pockets made of durable non-woven fabric, and can be recycled after its lifespan in the furniture to become new spiral springs.
Duck Feather
The duck down comes from a DOWNPASS-certified French supplier with high standards for both animal welfare and product quality. The feathers are controlled, washed, and treated according to strict regulations. We exclusively use down from the food industry. A natural and renewable material.
